मनात जेंव्हा विचारांचे काहूर सुटते तेंव्हा भावभावनांचे तरंग उमटून ते अस्वस्थ मनाला व्यक्त होण्यास प्रेरित करते.अशा भावनांना जो कोणी शब्दांतून व्यक्त करतो, तो म्हणजे साहित्यिक, साहित्य हे मनाचे स्पंदन असते. त्याच्यावर कल्पनेचे कोंदण असते. आणि सर्वात शेवटी हे समाजाला दिलेले विचारांचे आंदण असते. त्याचप्रमाणे लेखक समाजाला काही विचार देऊ इच्छितो. आपल्या परिसरातून जे अनुभवलेले असते ते शब्दबद्ध करतो. म्हणूनच साहित्याला समाजाचा आरसा म्हणतात.
स्त्री सोशिक असते, तशीच ती हळवी सुद्धा असते. स्त्री मनाच्या भावभावना तीव्र असतात. पण बऱ्याच वेळा त्या व्यक्त होत नाहीत. अश्विनी निवर्गी मात्र आपल्या भावना व्यक्त करताना क्षणोक्षणी जाणवतात. या क्षेत्रात त्या तशा नवख्या आहेत. त्यांचं साहित्याचं हे पहिलं अपत्य जन्माला येत आहे. यात नवतीच्या खुणा जागोजागी जाणवतात. परंतु तरीही तो प्रयत्न स्तुत्य झाला आहे.
‘बाबा, संध्याकाळ, आजीआजोबा’ या कवितांमध्ये नात्यांचे अनुबंध दिसतात. अनेक अनुभवांचे गाठोडे सोबत घेऊन चालणाऱ्या आजी आजोबांची गरज, त्यांचे महत्त्व सागताना त्या म्हणतात,
‘तुम्ही हवे आहेत आम्हाला
आमच्या प्रत्येक गोष्टीसाठी,
तुमच्या समोर आदराने झुकण्यासाठी,
आम्हाला सावरण्यासाठी,
आम्हाला आशीर्वाद देण्यासाठी…’
देवाशी संबंधित कविताही त्यांनी लिहिल्या आहेत. हे श्री गणराया, होळी व प्रार्थना’ या कवितेत ईश्वराला प्रार्थना केली आहे.
या पुस्तकात प्रणयाच्या हळुवार भावना काही कवितांमधून व्यक्त केल्या आहेत. ‘प्रीत, लव्ह मॅरेज, अबोला, फक्त एकदा येऊन जा.’ वगैरे. आज समाजजीवन खूप विचित्र बनत चाललाय. समाज दुभंगून जाताना दिसतो आहे. हे सर्व कवयित्रीला पाहवत नाही आणि राहवतही नाही. समाजातील परिस्थितीचे यथार्थ चित्रण त्यांच्या अनेक कवितांमधून दिसते. अशा अनेक कविता या भागात आहेत.
या कवितासंग्रहात शिक्षण विषयक अनेक कविता आहेत. शिक्षणाचा खेळखंडोबा, मला भीती वाटते.’ अशा कवितांमधून शिक्षणाच्या सद्यःस्थितीचे वर्णन आले आहे. कवयित्रीला शिक्षण क्षेत्रातला बराच अनुभव आहे. तो इथे योग्य प्रकारे शब्दबद्ध केला आहे.
या पुस्तकात स्त्री जीवनाचे, त्यांच्या समस्यांचे समर्पक वर्णन केले आहे. ‘नाच गं घुमा, सावित्रीच्या लेकी, स्त्री मुक्ती’ वगैरे. अश्विनी निवर्गी या वाचक चळवळीतील संयोजिका आहेत. अनेक ठिकाणी वक्ता म्हणून, निवेदक म्हणून काम करतात. तसेच कथा लेखिका, कवयित्री म्हणूनही त्यांनी स्वतःची ओळख निर्माण केली आहे. त्यांच्या या पहिल्या कवितासंग्रहास आभाळभर शुभेच्छा !
